To make a very simple gift frame
- Weave the frame from coloured paper.
- Take two sheets of coloured paper either analogous, complimentary or black and white
- Cut them in thin strips
- Weave them
- Wrap the woven paper around a cut card board frame
- Glue the ends of the weaving to the back of the frame
- Glue a matching cardboard frame to the back of the covered frame so that no end of paper is showing
- Glue a sheet of over head project plastic inside
- Place the portrait of mum inside the frame
- Glue ribbon around the edges with a hot glue gun
- Take some of the same ribbon and make a loop
- Glue the loop to the back of the frame
If the students choose to colour their drawing, encourage them to think about colour schemes. They can make sure that the colours are reflected in the frame they have made
