» Amanda Kendle - Or are you born a drawer ...

Jo, your poll was interesting, and I had to choose that I was scared of drawing, but really, it's not that I'm scared, but that I've had no success at all. It's one of those skills I have always wished I had but never been able to achieve. My husband's an artist and assures me that everyone can learn to draw (but not necessarily to paint). What do you think? Can I really draw one day or do I have to confine my expression to words and music?????
cheers
Amanda

I believe that drawing is a language like any other.
So yes you can learn to draw. I think inspired artists on the other hand are passionate, focused and draw daily.

I do believe that everyone can draw bit that many are held back by having an overconflated expectation of what drawing is about.

If you were to start out with very simple line drawings for five minutes a day you would be cheered by the results I think.
Thanks for asking I would be happy to walk through my drawing class with you if you wanted to try?
