» Feature Writer Georgene A. Bramlage - Critique Standards

Jo,

I am one of the poll responces that voted for the middle of the road answer because I absolutely believe in setting standards or clearly understood objectives for educational critique of any kind, especially art.

My few experiences (on behalf of one of my own and other students) with a select few of our local art educators leave me cold and with the feelings that I surely would not like to take classes with them...how could I learn anything!

1 - little or no guidance
2 - do your "own thing"
3 - I will judge or grade with my own standards
4 - don't ask me what these standards (criteria)are!
