At our college we often used florist=type styrofoam to carve fake wood moldings - it was light enough to use with muslim backdrops and looked realistic.

Thankyou Angela styrofoam is amazing stuff. Sometimes we carve it with hit knives.
So you have done a bit of acting?

I like the idea of really big backdrops for instrumental music performances.
I can imagine a large backdrop for an outer space musical without lyrics
it is really hard to talk here,
